Common questions

Buddy shows no sessions. Open Buddy’s menu and choose Setup: “Connect Buddy to Claude Code” must have its check mark. Sessions that were already running show up with their next event.

The iPhone says it is not connected. Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on your Mac and your iPhone. Buddy’s menu on the Mac should say “Phone link on”.

A message from the iPhone shows as a grey “Stop hook” line. That session runs in a terminal Buddy cannot type into (for example the VS Code terminal). Claude still gets the message. In iTerm2, Terminal and tmux it appears as your own prompt.

No notifications. Check Settings › Notifications › Buddy on your iPhone, and open Buddy once so it can register.
